
Biography

Jewel W Daniels is president of Daniels Communications Group a
progressive
Georgia-based firm that provides marketing, public relations, and business event
planning services. The company specializes in business consulting for small
and minority-owned businesses with a specialization in marketing communications.
Daniels has
cultivated a career that includes several successful marketing endeavors and the
tremendous accomplishment of launching the Black Business Professionals and
Entrepreneurs, a global network of practicing professionals and business owners.
Most recently, she completed work on her first book, “The Enterprising
Entrepreneur.” The self-published
book speaks volumes about leadership, weathering tough times and reaping the
rewards of successfully piloting your dreams.
Born in Brooklyn,
NY, Daniels has teamed-up on projects with companies top corporations that
include AOL Time Warner, Bronner Brothers, Black Entertainment Television, Clear
Channel, Comcast Communications, Morris Communications, State of Georgia
PIE/Community Affairs Department and Wal*Mart.
She began her
career in
Virginia
as an advertising executive and later returned to her roots in
New York
where she handled the multi-million account of Cruise Lines International
Association. She then set her sights studying international relations and
political science as the first Black graduate student at
Asia
’s prestigious
Yonsei
University
located in
Seoul
,
Korea
. Becoming fluent in the Hangul
language, Radford taught English to Korean soldiers and coordinated with the
military's public affairs office. After
two years, she returned to the
United States
, moving to
Hinesville,
GA, where she took a position as a journalist with the Morris Newspaper
Corporation.
Her
entrepreneurial nature finds Daniels working on projects aimed at empowering
people of color and women in business. She spearheads the annual Black Business
Professionals and Entrepreneurs conference and the launching of Women of Power,
Passion and Purpose, a touring business empowerment seminar series for women of
color.
Her
accomplishments include recognition as one of
Georgia
’s “40 Under 40” in business and politics by Georgia Trend magazine and
the Savannah Business Report & Journal, as well as receiving recognition
from Georgia Gov. Roy Barnes and US Rep. Jack Kingston.
She has been honored with the “Neophyte Award” as well as being a
double recipient of the Savannah Small Business Institute entrepreneurship
award. Daniels
has been featured in
various publications to include Onyx Woman and Georgia Trend magazines.

has also spoken for African American Women on Tour (three years), the GWEN
Conference, Black Business Professionals and Entrepreneurs and other
professional groups.
She is highly committed to serving her
community and helping further the Black business agenda. She held the post as
the youngest woman chair of the Georgia Summit of African-American Business
Organizations, Inc., statewide agency of Black business associations. She is
also a board member of Georgia Communities and Schools organization and holds
memberships in the National Association of Female Executives, American Business
Women's Association, Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, the Savannah Small
Business Chamber, the Atlanta Business League and Delta Sigma Sorority, Inc.
As an

the lives of young adults. While at
Hampton, Daniels earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Media Communications and
Public Relations.
She

Atlantic
State
University
in
Savannah

GA, and previously taught for several years at
Savannah
Technical
College. She instructs in marketing and
entrepreneurship courses.
Daniels is
strong in her belief in Christ and says her life’s greatest accomplishment is
raising her 11-year-old daughter Jynnah.
